I may or may not have walked into Tractor Supply and looked at the cute chicks...
And I may or may not have walked back over and noticed the adorable ducklings...
And I may or may not have purchased a handful of pullets and an equal sized handful of ducklings.
But, if you don't know about the way ducklings look at you from those brooders, then you just don't know how hard it is to say no.
But, on another note...
We have 25 turkey eggs in the brooder and all but two look viable. Twenty-five turkey poults may or may not be chirping from our incubator in about a week.
I’m eager to see the up-coming pictures!
ReplyDeleteClearly understand how irresistible they are. Best wishes for nurturing/rain sing them!
ReplyDeleteAw! Just think of those eggs!
ReplyDeleteDucks? For eggs or fatty meat?
ReplyDeleteIf they are females, then yes, eggs. If males, we haven't decided. We have only eaten duck one time many years ago, but it was too old and the meat was really tough.
DeleteYes, it is fatty, but so are hot dogs, cheese, and butter.
Adorable duck cuties
ReplyDeleteThey are sooo cute!!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered 15 turkey poults for the end of August. ❤️ Its really hard to walk past those bins... especially when they're marked down to a dollar or less each! If I didn't already have a chick order coming at the end of May and another in September....
ReplyDeleteOoh! Fun! Turkeys are fun. I love the sound the hens make.
DeleteI meant more like greasy when cooked. Thats a bit different from cheese, hot dogs and butter.
ReplyDeleteI've had it a couple times, didnt care for it, but maybe if cooked right it would be good.
Oh, okay. Yes. Not sure at this point. We would only keep the females. Males would be processed. Then I guess we will find out. I have heard some say it is their favorite and others say they don't like it. I guess we shall find out.
